Triple Trail Challenge
The ultimate summer challenge present by Jaybird takes place over a nine-week period. Complete all three events and receive the signature TTC jacket and unique 3-part finishers medal. Returning participants may have their jacket embroidered with the 2018 event logo.
Run the series or individual races. But if you want to run the series, you need to register as a TTC participant – do not register for each race individually.
The 3-Stages Include:
Stage #1 Round Valley Rambler – June 16, 2018:
This is the first race in the Triple Trail Challenge. 100% of the course takes place on prime, buff single and double track in Round Valley which sits at an altitude between 6,500’and 7100′. While athletes will find the trails foot-friendly, the rolling, high-desert terrain presents a few long and steady climbs followed by fast downhills.
Stage #2 Jupiter Peak Steeplechase – July 14, 2018:
This is a Park City favorite bringing elite athletes as well as weekend warriors to Park City from all over the country. With an elevation profile that resembles an inverted “V” (for vertical!) A 16-mile loop from Park City Mountain Resort (7,000′) to the top of Jupiter Peak (10,000′) and back down.
Round Vally Rambler
The Round Valley Rambler is a trail half marathon and the first race in the Triple Trail Challenge. New this year we are adding a 7K event that will start shortly after the Half Marathon! 100% of the course takes place on buff single and double track trails within the 2,100 acre, Round Valley Open Space, with altitude ranging from 6,500 to 7,100 feet. While athletes will find the trails foot-friendly, the rolling, high-desert terrain presents a few long and steady climbs followed by fast downhills. The Round Valley Rambler is a stout trail half and serves as a reality check for athletes preparing for the Triple Trail Challenge sister races, the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase and the Mid Mountain Marathon.
Jupiter Peak Steeplechase
This is a Park City favorite bringing elite athletes as well as weekend warriors to Park City from all over the country. With an elevation profile that resembles an inverted “V” (for vertical!) this race is not for the faint of heart! This race is also the second stop in the Triple Trail Challenge.
Mid Mountain Marathon
Presented by Salomon Running, the Mid Mountain Marathon is a true trail runner’s marathon and is the final stage of the Triple Trail Challenge. The course starts at Silver Lake/Deer Valley through Park City Mountain Resort and then winds down through the Utah Olympic Park trail system to finish at the bottom of the Nordic jumps at the Utah Olympic Park. The Mid Mountain Marathon embodies the essence of mountain trail running with intermittent technical sections, a few sustained climbs and fast downhills. Voted best trial marathon in Utah!
Tour des Suds
Presented by Skullcandy, Tour des Suds is a 7-mile mountain bike climb starting at City Park. Go hard and treat it like a legit mtb race (yes, there are awards) or a crazy costume party on bikes. Either way, it’s 2,700′ of vert straight up to the finish line/Skullcandy Party Station at the top of Guardsman Pass. Festivities continue back at City Park with lunch and the “Suds” provided by Red Rock Brewery, along killer opportunity drawing, costume contest and awards. The Tour des Suds is the zaniest mountain bike party in the west!
Only the first 250 PRE-REGISTERED participants are guaranteed a pair of official 2018 Tour des Suds socks! Day-of registrants are NOT guaranteed socks.
Kids 17 years and under get FREE entry, but must register so we can issue bibs and include them in timing results.
