Due to higher elevation, the on-mountain trails open later in the year but are well worth the wait! Several hundred miles of continuous buffed-out single track, with occasional technical sections, create the heart of the Park City trail system. Forested with evergreens and aspen, the on-mountain trail system starts at 7,000’ and goes up from there. These trails are intermediate to expert level trails. The Mid Mountain trail, at rambles along at 8,000’ for nearly 28 miles long and is the on-mountain traverse trail into which most other trails eventually connect. Popular start points are Silver Lake or Empire Lodge in Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort parking lots. While parking at Park City Mountain Resort is ample, Silver Lake and Empire Lodge have very limited parking. Consider shuttling up on a free, bike-friendly bus from the Old Town Transit Center. Day and season passes for lift service to the higher parts of the trail system are available at Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort.
