Happy Thursday Park City. Here’s your trail report for December 5, 2019:

9:30 and the snow is still falling out here in the foggy round valley. Last night we received a stout inch of some moisture rich snow. Wish I saw a hefty foot but we will take what we can and smash that in to our base for now. With the temperature sitting around 33-34F the snow is how you say transitional. Gloves are damp but the snow groomed out nice and the cord looks smooth.

Sorry to sour the mood but let’s talk about what not to ski today. I took a lap down Silver Quinn and most of it is golden. The part I’m concerned about is the steep pitch off of ability way that brings you to and from SQ by the NAC. You can make it but there are better looking trail you can hit.

Oz is another one I would say away from. Coverage was looking good so I poked inside but no dice. Again a foot of snow would really make that track shine.

But don’t be sad. Every trail head has great loops options you can hit. Parking at Quinn’s? The Quinn’s loops are looking great as usual. Highland? The inter-valley is holding up nicely. Coming in from RV Express on Sunny Slopes? Matts Lolli got a double tap this AM to smooth out that highway up into the valley.

Low light conditions so plan accordingly.
