And just like that...it's Friday once again. Your weekend trail update for this, the last weekend of summer, September 17th-19th. Say it ain't so.

First off, we're all still buzzing from the killer day that was last Sunday's 37th annual Tour Day Suds. Perfect temps, clear, smoke-free skies and a really great mix of real-deal locals along with many new and smiling faces. And man, that Level Crossing Brewing Company beer was oh so tasty! A big shout out to Jim Rasmussen, Tom Noaker and co for getting this party started nearly 40 years ago.

Take advantage of today's perfect fall weather because there's a pretty good liklihood of rain and thunder boomers tomorrow and maybe even a little, dare I say, white stuff up high, Sunday nite into Monday. Pack that Gortex just in case...

The MTF crew is still down and digging and making great progress on both Charlie's 9K to Mid and Mother Urban, the latter of which is now rideable from it's intersecton with Gravedigger. A reminder that Mother Urban is an UPHILL ONLY for bikes, up or down for foot and paw traffic.

The temps are cooler, the leaves are turning and as we locals know, this is THE best time for rolling, running or ramblin on your favorite local trails. Please share some pics of your fall trail adventures and who knows, maybe one will end up on the cover of the MTF map.(portrait layout preferred).

Can’t wait for that new Charlie trail. I had an idea yesterday thinking about fun routes, and was wondering if there has been talks about building trails off of pinecone? I think it would be fun if there was a trail that split off pinecone that you could connect to the yurt and hit silver queen or Mojave, instead of pinecone, mid mtn then climbing back up.
