MOUNTAIN TRAILS FOUNDATION
Ambassador
Want to get even more involved in supporting your local trails? Become an Ambassador!
Ambassadors represent Mountain Trails at a variety of events, at Trailhead Meet & Greets and whenever they are out on the trails. They need to be exceptionally knowledgeable of the trail system, trails-related issues, trail etiquette/best practices and the Mountain Trails Foundation’s policies. Ambassadors interface with the public in a friendly, informative way and act as our eyes and ears in the community.
To Join This Program, Prospective Ambassadors Need To:
- Participate in training to ensure that they are a knowledgeable spokesperson and capable of acting as a lead volunteer.
- Devote at least 20 hours per year to volunteering at Trailhead Meet & Greets and events. We request a 3-year commitment from Ambassadors.
- Be knowledgeable enough to encourage membership in our organization, educate the general public about our role in the trail system and have a firm understanding of on-trail best practices/etiquette.
- Mountain Trails provides Ambassadors with a very cool logo’d shirt. We request that Ambassadors wear the shirt whenever volunteering so that they are easily identifiable to the public.
