Happy Friday PC! Your short and semi-sweet trail report for the weekend of August 12th-14th...
The weather is the big news this weekend, as the monsoons are active and we're looking at a solid chance of rain and thunderstorms as far as the eye can see. So, while you'll have to be prepared for inclimate weather if hitting the trails, the moisture should set us up with some heroic dirt in the coming days/weeks and we'll take it!
Wildfire mitigation work continues up at Treasure Hill, so please respect all closures and avoid this area from 8am-4pm, Fri/Sat.
The MTF crew continued plugging away at the machine and hand, finish-work on lower Mother Urban as well as Clark Ranch.
Our friends at Singletrack Trails are pushing through some extremely challenging terrain at SkyRidge Mountain Community and should have the new, downhill and bike-only, Big Dipper trail, completed in early September.
Keep and eye to the sky and have a great one out there! #trailreport

Heroic dirt. Love it.
Happy Friday connoiseurs of art and dirt! Your weekend trail update for this Arts Festival weekend, August 5th-7th...
The weather- There is a significant chance of rain, both today, and Saturday, so be prepared if hitting the high ground. This has to be one of the wettest summers I can recall, in many moons.
**Trail Impact Alert**
Monday-Saturday, 7am-4pm through September 1st, Park City Municipal will be conducting wildfire mitigation on the Treasure Hill Open Space.
> For today and tomorrow the South Sweeny's trails will be closed. For your safety, PLEASE respect all closures as the contractor will be felling trees in the area.
> Speedbag remains closed while Rocky Mtn Power replaces power poles in the area.
A big shout out to the fine folks from JP Morgan, who joined the crew on Tuesday afternoon for some finish work on Mother Urban.
The MTF crew killed it once again this week...haircuts were given to the old-school classic, Eagle trail, as well as Empire Link in it's entirety, greatly improving the lines of sight on both trails.
Machine work continues on Mother Urban, Clark Ranch and the new Big Dipper downhill at Skyridge. There will be many miles of new trail to explore when these projects are completed later this fall.
Join our friends at Basin Recreation for the Downhill 'N Grill, from 5-8pm at the Trailside Bike Park. Always a great time.
Lastly, best of luck to our very own, Philip Blevins, who will race in the Pierre's Hole 50K mtb race this weekend. Go get 'em Phil!
Have a killer weekend out there and enjoy the Fest! #trailreport

Great work! Thank you!
Taking rocks out??? We don’t need another corner canyon… keep PC more natural.
Thanks! Does the Sweenys closure include Sweenys switchback to flat cable?
Rick Fournier thank you so much!
Happy Friday PC! Your weekend trail update for this, the last weekend of July... whaaaaat??? August, here we come!
We had a glorious, early evening thunder shower yesterday, that should help to knock down the dust a bit. Temps will be in the mid to upper 80's this weekend with a chance of thunderstorms each day. Be sure to pack that Gortex, just in case...
The MTF crew crushed it this week, despite the heat, completing a nice chunk of hand-finish work on both the new Clark Ranch trail and lower Mother Urban. They also removed a ton of thistle on Tommy's Two Step so you will longer have to ride/hike the prickly gauntlet.
The team also completed a challenging, hand-built connection between the bottom of Cyn City and Tommy's Two Step. This spur will dump you on the Flat Iron double track followed by a short climb on Riser that will place you about a third of the way up Tommy's if you're looking to climb up for another lap.
Your Ex's may live in Texas but ours(the mini ex's that is) have been living on Treasure Hill, busting through the rocky terrain on our way to the finish of Mother Urban. We're about two weeks out from completing this challenging two-year project.
Have a trailriffic weekend and be sure to incorporate Charlie's 10 Seconds of Kindness in your trail adventures and help spread the stoke! #trailreport KÜH
