80KM OF GROOMED WINTER TRAIL
While Park City has long been known as an alpine skiing destination, Summit County’s Nordic Trail System has blossomed to nearly 80 kilometers of superbly groomed trail. As fat-tire bikes, snowshoeing and winter trail running grow in popularity, the winter single-track trails are expanding likewise.

Another Sun-day is upon us!
January 18th quick grooming update:
Quinns has been lurking around 20 degrees this morning, but Mr. Sun has popped up and is giving us the "business" yet again on another blue bird morning. Temps expected to hit the mid 40's again this afternoon, so if you're planning any snow related activities, earlier the better!
The crew pulled the drags around what is left of Round Valley this morning. Round Valley Express from Sunny Slopes down to the trash can in the inner valley is holding up pretty darn well. A little gravel on the top of the drainage bumps, and a bit more ice and thinning on the climb up to Seventy 101 ridge, but all in all I was impressed how good its looking still. Fairway Hills, and Fast Pitch (not the snow fence section, thats all gravel now) is still holding up ok around Quinns area for now. Things are changing daily, and it might be very different by Tuesday/Wednesday this week.
Matt's in the Cat this morning, giving Bonanza Nordic a refresh. It was reported to have been about 29 degrees and calm on Empire Saddle around 6:30am this morning. Classic will be set in all the usual spots, and the groomed trails up high are holding up great during this high pressure system. Yes, the Bonanza Winter Shuttle is running today!
Bonanza single track will be firm and in pretty good shape overall, a few sections of off camber trail where the drifting is hard to keep up on, but a very good option right now with Round Valley's single track changing quickly.
Round Valley's single track is starting to look pretty rough. Mix of dry dirt, and very likely muddy sections later in the day, as well as a mix of firm snow and ice mixed in. Certain aspects will be better than others, plan your routes accordingly and please be mindful of your impact out there as conditions change throughout the day. Please and thank you!
Whatever you get into... we'd advise you not to look at the future forecast...it's depressing... hah. We hope you get outside and enjoy yourself though!

Good morning Park City!
Saturday, Jan 17th update for ya:
Quinn's is lingering around 21 degrees this morning. The Nordic snow ribbon is still slowly thinning and shrinking each day, but it's still hanging in there! The crew drag groomed what we could, which is now RV Express down to the inner valley (no longer to Silver Quinn, too thin), and Fairway Hills, Hat Trick, Fast Pitch around the Quinn's area. Sadly, Hat Trick between Fairway hills and Sunny Slope is probably on it's last day for skiers, that downhill turn coming from Sunny Slopes before crossing Fairway Hills is very very close to melting out and was just a mess of gravel and ice this morning. Best to stick with Fast Pitch along the horse corrals to access RV Express or Quinns.
Empire Pass is reportedly quite windy this morning, and even some wind down in Bonanza Flat area, subject to change of course, but prepare for some wind chill if you're heading up there today. The Bonanza Nordic system is getting a cat groom refresh, and the Bonanza Winter Shuttle is running today.
Bonanza single track will be in pretty good shape over all, potential for the wind to have drifted a few sections maybe, but there isn't much loose snow to chuck around these days, so it should hold up pretty well. The safest bet up there, is to just drop down into the lower single track loops which is mostly in the trees and more protected.
Round Valley single track will likely be a mix of icy sections, smooth sections and chunky bumps in places. The snow ribbon still seems to holding, but is changing daily and slowly melting away like everything else in RV.
Whatever you get into today, we hope you have a great day!

Good morning Park City!
A real quick Jan 15th update for ya:
Quinns is warming up quickly this morning, sitting at 33 degrees at 9:15, with full sun and blue skies above at the moment. The crew drag groomed what they could this morning, mainly RV Express to Silver Quinn, Hat Trick/Fairway Hills, and Fast Pitch from Fairway Hills to Sunny Slopes TH. The Valder-road drainage bumps are almost completely melted out, so I'd advise skiers to avoid Valder-road altogether.
Bonzana Nordic is getting a fresh groom this morning, and a reminder that the Bonanza Winter Shuttles run Friday-Sunday.

Round Valley single track was looking a bit bumpier after yesterday afternoon but still in decent shape, just a friendly reminder to get out earlier rather than later!
Bonanza single track should be in pretty good shape heading into the weekend, again, friendly reminder to all uses, as the day warms and conditions change, please be aware and mindful of your impact out there, please and thank you!
Whatever you decide to get into today, we hope you have a great day!
