Trail Report
Good morning everyone!
Quick Sunday Dec 28 update:
**Round Valley- didn't receive more then a dusting after Saturdays slushy two inches. Not enough for us to groom sadly. Enough to keep the ground covered this morning, but don't be fooled, it's very thin out there!***
The sun is out up here in Bonanza Flat, and it's a bit crispy at the moment! Honestly, this chill is a relief, it's been way way way too warm lately!
The Matt-tastic-Matt is walking Roy Boi around the entire Nordic track this morning, and we're finally at a comfortable depth to set some classic lanes finally! Minus some sections through the trees, but a majority of the track will have classic set!
The wind moved a bunch of snow around, drifting in the single track which was track packed yesterday. We are putting effort in to try to level and pack the single track, but it'll probably be soft many spots today thanks to the drifting. With the cold nights in the forecast, we hope our efforts today will set the trails up well for tomorrow and the rest of the week!
It'slooking like a great day up here for skiing! Keep in mind it is chilly! Whatever you get into, we hope you have a great day!

Good morning Park City!
***9:20am post groom update:***
Firstly, conditions are soft today! However, I'm very happy to see some winter up here again!
It continued to snow during my groom up here in Bonanza, it looked like maybe another 1-2" fell on top of my earlier grooming (gaining about 6-7" in the past 12 hours?). It's currently socked in up here at Empire pass and snowing lightly. Visibility was spotty at times even down in Bonanza Flat with flat light between the trees sections, but like usual, it was better down there than up here on the saddle. I'm hopeful we can start setting some Classic in select areas around the Bonanza Loops tomorrow morning if we pick up yet another 2-4" of snow, fingers crossed!!
Round Valley at 6am only had a dusting of wet slushy snow, not even at an inch Quinns and was reading about 30 degrees at the time. Other parts of Round Valley may have picked up more snow? 🤷. We really need 5"+ before it's worth taking the sleds over the Round Valley Nordic track to start packing. Hopefully it stays coldish today and we accumulate some snow in Round Valley today, fingers crossed for this as well 🙂

Sometimes it's hard to believe your own eyes. What are these cold, white, delicate flakes falling from the sky? Could this be snow? It's been so long...
Here is your report for Saturday, December 27th. Alec is currently up in Bonanza, grooming away an estimated 4-5" of fresh. Winds are breezy and it is quite cold with a temp. of 24 @ 740am. XC will remain soft through the day, especially with expected snowfall. Classic track has not been set. With this additional coverage, we should be able to groom the entire system.
Currently, we are waiting on additional snowfall to be able to trackpack/groom Round Valley. Things are looking promising! Hopefully by tomorrow AM, enough snow will have fallen we can take our 4-stroke steeds out on the RV XC trails and give the people what they want! Nay, what they need!

Good morning Park City! Here's a quick grooming report for today, December 26th. We took the cat for a walk early this morning in Bonanza, grooming whatever was possible. Snow conditions will be challenging for xc skiing today; the surface is currently a mixture of groomed hardpack and ice. We were unable to groom the connector due to low snowpack. If you are considering braving the elements, please be advised the winds are sustained 20-30 mph with temps in the low 30s, even in the Bonanza basin, and a powerful storm will be moving in throughout the day. Please come prepared. Hope everyone's Christmas went well and here's wishing for a little more snow!
