Dear Trails Friends
Those who read the MTF newsletter regularly know that entertaining, uplifting content is the name of the MTF game. Every month, Rick, Ian and I strive to bring the trails community together with meaningful information, inspiring stories and fun reads.

This month is different, though, because we here at MTF are processing a life-altering accident that has befallen our friend and crew member, Emma. As I pre-read Rick’s newsletter submission, I cried.
We’re not all hunky dory here at MTF right now. Sure, the work is still moving forward, but this organization as a whole is grieving. Some grieve to greater degrees than others, but we all feel it. In the backs of our minds, there’s an ever-present prayer that Emma heals quickly and thoroughly. This depth of concern and compassion is a privilege held only by those who care greatly. It is what makes us human.
So, Emma, if you’re reading this, know that you have a community of trail lovers sending positive, healing vibes. You are not alone in this journey. And to the rest of the trails community, the sentiment we here at MTF share is this: take care of yourselves and the ones you love.
Please consider helping Emma as she faces the biggest challenge of her life.
Emma Paden, needs support to cover medical expenses, adaptive equipment, and accessibility modifications for her home.
She has always been a beacon of strength in our community, and now it’s our turn to show her that she is not alone. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Emma as she begins this difficult journey toward recovery and independence.
Please consider donating to Emma’s GoFundMe, or you can send support directly via Venmo or by mailing a check. Your generosity can make a real difference in Emma’s life.
Thanks in advance for your kindness.
